Software: VisusImage-FISH Back

The program provides an ability to receive the resultant color images by mixing or overlaying the source black and white images acquired from the fluorescence microscope while the filters are being changed (to make different fluorescent marks be visible). This enables to locate and identify the DNA sequences directly on the cells and chromosomes.

VisusImage-FISH
VisusImage-FISH main functions:
  • acquisition of a sequence of fluorescent images with a b/w integrating camera; ability of camera adjustment (brightness, contrast, integration)
  • open b/w images from files (.tif, .gif, .pcx, .bmp, .jpg)
  • false coloring of the loaded images
  • ability to merge the acquired false colored images and receive a color resulting image
  • ability to threshold the image areas by brightness, false color them and overlay on the first image in a series
  • image enhancement with filters (brightness/contrast & gamma correction, smoothing, sharpening and negative, background correction)
  • image annotation
  • manual measurements
  • automatic measurements of the thresholded areas
  • measurement data export to MS Excel for further treatment
  • save the image series to a file (special file format .fish)
  • save a resulting image to a file
  • send the resulting image to the image database
  • VisusImage-Album 3.0 image database included.
